Reminds me of an occasion many years ago when I was at University at G3KMI.  We were
setting up the antennas for CQWW in a room at the top of the 150 ft engineering
tower.  Having strung an antenna up and leaving its feeder across the floor we
continued with the equipment.  We suddenly saw large sparks between the feeder and
the metal surrounds of the floor tiles!  There was no sign of thunder anywhere in
sight.

After that I treat antennas and lightning with respect!
