Hi

The K1 and K2 are very different designs. The K1 has a very good receiver but 
the AGC and filters are not as good as the K2. Tradeoffs in the design were 
made to allow light weight and low power operation. However I have connected 
a K1 and K2 to the same antenna and the K1 could hear everything the K2 could 
hear. The K2 will be better with interference from strong nearby stations and 
of course covers more bands, but the K1 still has a heaping helping of MoJo. 
You will be pleased with the performance.
