[Elecraft] K2 and Yaesu VL-1000

I am considering purchasing a VL-1000 to use with my K2 and backup rig
(1000MP), :-)

Does anyone on the list have any experience using a K2 and a VL-1000?  I
understand that the Vl-1000 tuner requires 70 watts to work.

However, are there any other concerns or limitations. How about positives.
