[Elecraft] K2 Hand Remote Controller?

Hi all,

being a little "Spring " like here today, I was thinking on ways to operate
/M on my Bike ( well, when it gets a little warmer ).

There is no way the K2 will fit on my handle bars and I have a similar
problem in my Car ( Suzuki Vitara 4X4 ) - no space anywhere on the dash . .
. 144MHz normally ends up on the passenger seat!

Has anyone used a Palm IIIx or similar PDA or thought abt designing a simple
remote controller using a PicChip+LCD+Keypad??? Possibly a  Parallax Basic
Stamp BS-2 module.

The Palm pda/or similar size controller WOULD fit on the handle bars on
somewhere on the dash in the car and in the case of the Bike, the K2 could
be nicely tucked away out of the rain ( well . . . whenever I go out, it
rains ).
