I would say some thing is very wrong with his K2 audio setup. I consistantly
receive excellent audio reports. I have used every type of mic imaginable
with mine experimenting. Most often I use the Heil had mic for Yeasu rigs, I
have the Scorpion pre-amp in mine, Elecraft Mic is electolert and needs no
preamp. I have even tried a stock Yeasu mic with RF Clipper type of
compressor, un-needed with the compression already in K2. Many of my reports
have indicated very excellent audio for QRP. This is not a normal condition
for the K2. I will give u or anyone else an on air sked if necessary. Tim
