[Elecraft] K2- SSBA SSBC Menu Exit

Hello Gang:
I would like some feedback on the following Menu exit ordeal I have been
having.  For the last week I have been e-mailing Gary every day trying to
troubleshoot my SSB board because I could not hear any difference in audio
from any SSBA or SSBC menu settings change.  Gary has been great e-mailing
back every day with one page descriptions on what I should do. Anyway, out
of desperation I ordered some parts thinking it had to be a bad part on the
board.  While I was doing this I exited SSBA setting by pressing the Menu
key, WOW it worked.  So this is what was happening, I was exiting the SSBA
and SSBC menu options by pressing the PTT on the mic. This exit routine will
indeed change the menu option but not change the setting on the SSB board.
Even after exiting the menu with PTT and going back into the SSBA/SSBC menu
the setting has changed but no effect will be heard.  But by exiting the
menu by pressing the Menu key the option is changed the function is changed
as well.

Yes this was an operator error.  However, you would think that any key
pressed besides Menu would act like an ESC key and cancel any changes like
the PTT switch I was using. Going back into the menu should see the current
SSBA/SSBC setting that is functioning not some bogus setting that was
changed and exited by the PTT key on mic.  After 2500 K2 kits am I the only
yoyo that has made this mistake?

The SSB manual talks about exiting the menu, not specifics on how to exit
the menu.  The main manual does talk about specifically exiting menu options
by pressing (tapping) the Menu key.
