[Elecraft] Regarding drift figures.

Hi all,
           Having seen the drift figures bandied about lately for the K2  I 
would have to say they appear to be pretty good. Very interesting in fact. 
Especially when one thinks back not all *that* many years when drift in 
excess of what has been quoted was acceptable in commercial built 
gear......and in fact quite a bit of that gear is still in use.
To me ...unless it is bad, a bit of frequency drift is pretty academic, and 
most of us (myself included ) wouldn't even notice it in general use, with 
the quoted figures .
I have yet to have a QSO with the K2  and notice any change in frequency. 
Perhaps I don't hold long enough QSO's !
I still think it is absolutely marvellous that I can build a piece of gear 
from a kit that is stable as it is, and that reflects entirely on the skill 
of the Elecraft Team who did the design work and chose the components to 
reach that goal.
Very impressive ..........
