[Elecraft] non-Wire antennas

Does anyone within 50 or 75 miles of Alpharetta Ga. or Trenton Ga. (Port =
4) want to invite me over to play? I want to work some 20 Meter on a =
Yagi up 75 feet and compare it to a 80 or 40 meter wire dipole (as low =
as possible - Anyone with a 75 foot tower is gonna have a higher dipole, =
seems to me) on the air.

I've always used wire antennas, but our new home near Trenton is just =
not laid out for a decent wire antenna. I'd hate to spend bunches of =
bucks on a "store-bought" antenna just to find it's no better than =
hitting the PreAmp button (fat chance!). I just want to HEAR the =
difference. The books aren't REAL enough for me (and my budget). I'll =
bring the 807's!
