Hey...there's a good idea for an Elecraft accessory. They could do
an external keypad similar to what used to be around for the older
Yaesus (FRG-100 receiver for instance). The KIO2 would be the obvious
interface but I suppose most people that had the KIO2 would have a 
computer attached to it all the time anyway.

I am of the opinion that MOST of hamming today is casual and the
contesters, DXers, and builders are the minority. If Ikensu can 
market a rig that satisfies the level of performance (i.e. LOW)
that a casual user will accept, and get $600-1000 for it, then
they meet their numbers for the month...

And as you imply, some of it may be that most users simply haven't
HEARD a good rig.
