[Elecraft] Elecraft, Progress, and Genious :-)

Hi folks - 
  In the last few weeks I've been doing a flurry of exploration about vintage radio and am finding the "story" of radio fascinating - there are SO MANY amazing people in the history of radio. 
  But here's the killer......darn near every radio you read about had this or that "new" cutting edge item OR lacked the same.....so as you read you start thinking: jeez, some of these rigs must have really been a pain (talking mainly pre-1948 plus some Drakes) to operate! And then you start to get an INCREDIBLE apprectiation for ALL that is in the Elecraft products. It sure makes me want to read more about the history - but sure doesn't exactly encourage me to try an older rig out for the experience! I only hope Elecraft can figure out some new products - cause there's not any other places to go!! (well, possible cudos to Ten Tec if the Orion meets its specs - but it won't meet my wallet hi hi). Wayne and Eric - as far as I can tell - you guys go into the history of radio as the leading genious' of today's Ham radio world!
