[Elecraft] K1/4 problem

Do you have the old white, or the new blue, trimmer caps on your KFL1-4
board?  I had problems with 20m alignment suddenly and unpredictably
changing on my old pre-December 2001 KFL1-4 board before I swapped out the
white ceramic trimmer caps for the new blue trimmer caps per the Elecraft
advisory on this.  That was the most valuable mod I've ever made to my K1.
Seven months later no re-alignment had been required.

Your case sounds different, though.  The problem above never affected the
receive sensitivity enough to be detectable.  I'd check the solder
connections of C3, C4, CC, and CD, plus K4A pin 4, K4B pin 5, K6A pin 4, and
K6B pin 5 on the filter board.
