I also forgot to mention I use Q-CAD for schematic capture and pc layout.
You can down load a free evaluation copy that is fully functional except it
will not print and is limited to 400 pins. The fully operational version is
around $50-60. This program has a schematic drawing program with very
extensive part library, pc placement and autorouter. I have several pc board
cad programs some costing several thousand dollars but this is the one I
use. It is easy to understand and it is easy to create a part if it is not
in the library. It can also import Autocad and Orcad files.
