Yep, I brought it up because I still have significant drift AFTER doing
the "stability mods" as I mentioned in the original post. The K2 will
move over 200 Hz in a typical QSO situation on 15 meters covering a span
of 15 minutes to half an hour. That's not enough to get the rig branded
as 'drifty', in my book, but it is pushing the limit of what I'd like to
see in a "modern" rig. I work 99% CW. I suspect that digital ops and
many SSB ops would be a bit more critical.

15 meters is one of the bands where the drift will probably be the
greatest, because the drift characteristics of the BFO and PLL Reference
Oscillator ADD rather than subtract from each other. I haven't run close
checks on 40, but it appears much, much better.

I've got a 12 volt fan that will be mounted as Eric suggests to move
more air across that heat sink.

Well it makes sense that you guys would have tried every way of cooling
the K2/100 and found the best arrangement. I don't know if the K2's that
are drifting with heating of the KPA100 have all of the B mods that
address drifting or not. It's just there has been some discussion lately
and I was thinking out loud. That sometimes gets me into trouble. ;-)
