I have done the latest BFO stability modification BFOMDKT. This did
a great job in reducing the K2 QRP drift. Now we have introduced more heat
and need a way to control the temperature so this modification really means
something.
Again, I would like to suggest air openings in the KPA100 top cover
panel so the K2 has a definite air flow from rear thru these openings. It
seems that this trapped heat has to be removed in order for any drift mod to
be a success. I am hopeful that we can find some way to decrease this drift
we are seeing. I don't think I am being a perfectionist , just critcal of
more drift than necessary.
When I get time this week, I am going to remove the top cover panel
and operate without it to see how much drift I have then. I will report back
later.
