It uses neither the HC-4 nor the HC-5.

It uses an electret element, similar (if not identical) to the element Heil 
uses in their ICOM HMM-IC mic.

The speech characteristics are, I believe, tailored a bit, for better 
intelligibility, but not as heavily as they are in the (non-electret) HC-4 
or HC-5 elements.
