Two weeks ago I completed a number of updates to my K2, #337. Did the BFO
stability mod, replaced my badly mismatched IF xtals with new ones (made a
world of difference!), did the 2nd stage Xfil mod, and did the PSK31 IMD
mod. I'm mostly a CW op, so it was just yesterday when I got around to
transmitting on SSB, and the AFC reading is different from the way I
remember it. Now, with the display set to AFC, the first (right-most) LED
stays on all the time when I'm talking. Its intensity seems to vary some,
but its definitely on all the time. If I talk really loudly, I can light
the second LED. This is with SSBA = 2, SSBC=2. Before I made the mods, I
believe the first LED would blink on only on voice peaks. Is this new
behavior to be expected, or should I look for a problem. I couldn't raise
anyone to QSO with, so I couldn't get an on-air evaluation of the signal.
Tnx es 73,
