[Elecraft] Construction Tips Requested

Dear Guys and Gals:

I just received a 3000 series K2 and plan to begin construction=
 in
the next day or two. I also purchased the pre-wound toroids from=

Mychael. Winding those babies is the thing I hate the most about=
 kit
building. I'm a fairly experienced kit builder. In my youth, I=

built a KnightKit Ocean Hopper, a HeathKit Q-multiplier, a=
 HeathKit
Code Practice Oscillator, an EICO VTVM, and some others my=
 ancient
brain can't remember at the moment. In more recent years I've=
 helped
my son and one of my daughters build a HeathKit transistor radio=
 and
an MFJ regenerative receiver, respectively. Two years ago I=
 built a
20M PSK QRP (1 watt) transceiver. Now my question is this: Are=

there any special problem areas that a person with this=
 background
should be aware of before he turns on the soldering iron? I just=

figured it makes sense to ask folks who've completed the process=

where any problems may lurk that could bite the unaware builder.

I just joined this list yesterday, so I apologize if this=
 question
has been asked recently by someone else. In that case, just=
 forward
to me any relevant messages.

Thanks very much for your response to this question.
