[Elecraft] K2/100 VFO cal problem - need help

Hi folks -
My K2 is slightly off frequency. I know that my Icom 756PRO is exactly on
frequency (be extensive zero beating etc with my Fists Code Buddy) - so I am
trying to adjust the K2 to match the Icom exactly by listening to a 40m
signal on the Icom narrowed down to a 50Hz filter width. Then I select the
narrowest filter on my K2 and adjust the VFO for the strongest signal within
that filter's width.  After adjustment the signal on my ICOM is at 7030.54
and the K2 is at 7030.46. That sounds pretty close to me - but you folks may
know better. The problem is that when I go up to 15m (for example) and do a
similar comparison - I get a larger variation (and opposite direction)
between the two rigs as in 21057.54 on the Icom and 21.057.74 on the K2. How
can I get the variation on the higher frequencies to be closer to the Icom
and how come the variation is not the same on all bands? Any help would be
appreciated .
