'Crafters,

Look closely at the video clip and you'll see what looks to be a "bar" pa=
ssing through the torroid. This bar is actually like a split hoop or bobb=
in (to use sewing machine vernacular). The split hoop is first routed thr=
ough the torroid and secured, then it is wound with a specified length of=
wire. Afterwards, it is simply spun through the torroid to deposit wire =
around the torroid. You'll notice a "flash" of wire on the upper right si=
de of the torroid (also look to the right of the roller follower) as the =
video plays. This is the slack of wire being pulled taut by the winder. T=
hese are actually fairly simple devices once you get a look at them and u=
nderstand how they work. Now this Elecraft Mojo thing, that's a whole 'nu=
ther matter...

Cheers,
Colin

I'm with Trevor on this one... the video appears for all the world like =20
the toroid is being wound like winding a wire on a straight cylinder -- =20
rotate the cylinder, feed in the wire as it is taken up over the cylinder=
.

Perhaps it's done on a toroid when the hard material is in some rubber =20
like state and therefore can be rolled much like you'd roll a rubber band=
 =20
into place ??????????? ;-)

Perhaps Mychael can purchase one of these machines, then explain to the =20
world how they work?

Inquiring minds want to know...?!@#!?
