[Elecraft] Adj. C31 on KAT100 - question

Hi folks -
   I'm a bit confused about adjusting C31 and the statement on page 28 of
the manual that says "you may see an indication near 0 volts over a small
range of C31's rotation - position C31 in the middle of this range".
   When I rotate C31 it brings the analog meter needle to zero (1st zero
point"), then as I continue it rises a little bit and then returns to zero
("2nd zero point"). If I continue it then starts to rise continuously. I'm
stumped as to where I'm supposed to set it. What does the "middle" of that
range mean?...a non-zero setting half way between the two zero points?
