This machine is different insofar that it looks to be semi-automatic =
with an operator feeding the wire with each turn to a crochet-like hook =
that bobs up and down through the center of the core. Unlike the more =
automated machines, it has to be slow enough for the operator to assist =
the wire on its travels, so it is easy to see how it works.=20

I am still not sure, however, how the more advanced or automated =
machines accomplish this task without operator assistance.
