Incidentally, I did the crystal replacement on my trusty old S/N 023, and 
it REALLY made a difference. I had the problem often mentioned of seeming 
low gain (having to to run AF Gain at max). After the replacement,I get 
good results with AF gain at 9 oclock. Don't know if that's typical, but 
worked for me.
