[Elecraft] K2 12/10m BPF/VFO ALC mods.

Hello Everybody,
I've now done this mod. to both my K2s.
In #0681, if I remove the KPA100, power output on all bands is much the same
as it was pre-mod (>12W).
However, in #2681, without the KPA100, output on 15, 12 & 10m, is reduced.
About 10W on 15m, 8W on 12m & 5W on 10m - all measured on the same dummy
load/wattmeter setup.
Its very noticeable on 10m that the K2's power control has no effect beyond
the 5W point (which is at the 'normal' setting of the pot), so my initial
guess at the problem is to look at the ALC part of the mod & change-out the
4 relevant components one-by-one. (Incidentally, identical valued components
were used for the mods in both K2s).
Suppose component tolerances could vary enough to cause this problem, but am
just wondering if anybody else has 'been there' with this particular mod?
Yes, I know, 5W is enough, and all I ever use FOR QRP, - but this is one of
those things that's going to niggle at the back of my head!

PS. By the way, thanks to Randy, WJ4P, for the mod., and to Tom, N0SS, for
assistance with the parts, there are now 6 K2s here in NZ with the sidetone
mod. Much smoother on the ears! Thanks again to both you guys!
