It's Elecraft, so it could be modular: 500-800W with internal PS,
1500W with tuner in two boxes. Reasonably lightweight and small, for
DXpeditions. 160M is of higher priority than 6M (especially since the
K2 covers the one and not the other).
The other thing- an item that was discussed at the California Burger,
way back when: a box that is a fairly complete test equipment set,
probably highly integrated with an external computer, including a
spectrum analyser that can be used as a panoramic display for
operating with the K2.

I would like to see it put out 1500w and cover 6M. Use a switching supply
to
save weight. Don't need a lot of meters - look at the Acom 2000a - lots
of
functions to check and monitor in a small space with their RCU. Of course
it
needs a carrying handle. How about a black box with an On/Off switch and
a
plug in control head?

I still haven't fixed my 800 watt amplifier because I enjoy using my
K2/100
and
KAT100 combination so much. Which gives me a product idea:
The KPA1000.
A high power 1.8-30 MHz amplifier kit (using FET's at 120v), producing
1000
watts output on CW or SSB with reasonable drive (50-65 watts).
Has a built-in automatic tuner, whose controller is capable of storing a
reasonable number (say, 64) of presets. Each preset includes filter and
tuner
parameters and the selection of one of four antenna outputs. When the
amplifier
is used with a non-elecraft rig, the operator manually chooses between
presets.
When used with a K2/100 or K3, the proper preset is chosen depending on
the
frequency and antenna selection set by the exciter.
The usual bulletproof Elecraft quality. Price: $1595 including power
supply.
I think it's possible, both technically and commercially.
