Greetiings:

Ever since I purchased and installed the KSB2, and using the MH2 mike
I've gotten audio quality reports being muffled, bassy, sounds like you've got
a hankerchief over the mike, lacking highs...etc. Checking into it today
the problem is still with me.(been on seedub for awhile) I've had several QSO's today
using different mikes so I don't think that's the problem. I've gotten these reports on both USB
and LSB.

So far I've done the following:

=checked parts on the KSB2 and all voltages check out.
=the output of pin 7 of the ssm2165 is 1 volt p-p using the MH2, really
don't know what it should be. KSB2 manual doesn't have voltage charts
like the others.
=double checked FL1-OP1 settings, it's set according to the 3.7 markings
on the original envelope. Xtals are marked 4.9136-s.
=the rig actually sounds OK on another receiver in the shack.

Isn't there a writeup somewhere on talking oneself in using the K2 by
itself while changing BFO settings? Right now I suspect the filter
setting even though their "stock".
I don't have any local hams around here that can listen in while I play
around and the receiver in the shack technique doesn't always work.
Any ideas? Thanks.
