[Elecraft] Re: K2 and MFJ-4125 Switch Power Supply

I had a similar experience when I placed my K2 on top of my Pyramid 36 amp
linear supply.
It was right after putting the K2 back in the shack after Field Day this
year. I hooked everything back up, this time placing the K2 on top of the
power supply only to hear the most distorted audio you can imagine. For a
few anxious minutes I was certain the 98 degree heat from Field Day and the
direct sun (which rendered my K2 almost too hot to touch), had "done-in"
poor old #2278.
When I moved the K2 off of the supply to remove the top cover, the problem
disappeared. Ahha!
Problem solved and before I had the chance to embarrass myself in front of
Gary....yet again! Interestingly, the K2 did not exhibit any problems with
the power supply positioned closely on either side of it - only on top.
