Here's a trick if frequently removing the tuning knob, put a bit of scotch
tape on the shaft. Just enough so the knob goes on with not too much fuss.
Then when you tighten the knob down, you don't keep burrowing into the metal
shaft and eventually ware it down to the point it has to be replaced.
