If I do it, I'll use a 1/4" Y adapter with my 1/4"-to-1/8" adapter for
the K2's key jack.  That way I'll be able to just plug into the key jack
of my big rigs (which only have 1/4" key jacks) whenever I want to use
them.  A lot more room for the diodes that way, too.
