[Elecraft] my radioshack

Yes, Guy, this has happened to all the stores in my neighborhood (three
fairly close). I'm not sure what Radio Shack is up to, but it looks like
they are going to become considerably less useful to hams. I don't know
how many of you remember Radio Shack back in the 50s and early 60s, but it
was a genuine radio store, full of all sorts of parts. Then they made a
major change to their 'current' format: 'prepackaged', fast-moving items
only. Now it looks like they are downgrading once again to serve only
lightweights. Fortunately, the on-line facilities of Mouser, Jameco, and
others offer an alternative. Just remember as you are paying their mailing
fees that it isn't free to drive the car to the local R/S either.

best wishes, and 'the times, they are a'changin' '.
