Many K2 rigs get more than 10 watts CW without modification. I have seen
email in this list indicating at least on operator who modified things for a
bit more power. Power does seem to fall off as frequency goes up but
getting 15 watts on 40-80 meters is not unusual. I do not know about where
the limitations are I expect that others will comment on this with greater
authority.
The key here is CW. The word is that even if the rig will go higher,
spurious harmonics will result from pushing the power above 10 watts on SSB.
If you really want more SSB kits you will have to invest in something like
the K100.
You didn't say if you have a tuner but I believe that the KAT2 will handle
close to 20 watts CW, but don't quote me.
Hunt through the email archives and you should find more data. I have seen
tables listed many times with how much power a particular rig puts out on
each band. Have you done this test on yours?
