[Elecraft] N0SS Noise Generator for K2/K1 filter alignment

Hi

If you don't want to scratch build a noise generator (it is a fairly easy=
 circuit, in fact the first one I built was Manhattan style) I still have=
 plenty of the kits. =20

The kit includes a 1 1/4 x 2 inch silk screened and solder masked fibergl=
ass circuit board, 3 2N3904 transistors, 5 resistors, 4 capacitors, a 9V =
battery connector and instructions. You provide a small box, a switch and=
 a BNC connector (available at Radio Shack). If you don't want to get thi=
s fancy you could just connect the 9V battery and a piece of hookup wire =
to the output and ground and stick the stripped end into the K2 antenna B=
NC and ground terminal. The circuit is very similar to Tom's. I use the b=
ase-emitter junction of a 2N3904 as a zener  diode, some resistor value c=
hanges and I added a .1 UF cap to decouple the supply. The instructions f=
or use are on the Elecraft site under builders resources and on Tom's web=
site listed below. This has been a very popular kit.
