Well, it was a try :)

But OK, lets turn in the other direction then:
Eric, Wayne: Looking at the KAT2-100 prototype pictures, there seems some
PCB space left in the front region. Would it it somehow be possible to
reshuffle the layout and squeeze a 1:4 balun in there somewhere ? :)

Talking about features: Using the KAT2 (and I suspect with the -100 it will
be the same), I am getting rather fed up with that second antenna jack.
I usually have only one antenna, so everytime I hold the TUNE button just
that instance too short, instead of tuning the ATU, I switch to the other
antenna, and then transmit into nothing. 

I thus suggest a setting in the ATU menu to manually disable the second
antenna. This would also modify the behaviour of the TUNE button so that
now a simple push would activate the TUNE function.
