I suppose you could mount a second DB9 on the rear panel of the original
K2 top cover, but probably not on the KPA100.

In any case, the Y cable is easy to make. The top row (pins 1-5) are
used for the PC connection, and the bottom row (pins 6-9) are used with
the KAT100.
