[Elecraft] KPA100: Wire size for Z1 - is #22 enough?

Hi
I just tried it on an unassembled KPA100 and the current sense resistor i=
s only 0.002 larger than the 1n4007 leads. The leads fit into the Z1 hole=
s with room to spare. However the very large diode wires are too large (0=
.050) and will not fit. =20

Don:
The wire from the sensing resistor does not fit in the circuit board hole
provided.

I save the clipped leads from the 1N4007 diodes to use for all of the
jumpers on the boards (grounds, options, ect.) they are about .030 or 22 =
GA
and work well. I would not use enameled wire because of the problems of
stripping and getting a good solder joint. If you want an even heaver wir=
e
for Z1 then save the wire clipped from the .005 ohm current sensing
resistor.

Hello to the fellow builders,
after all these toroids...
Would a piece of #22 enameled wire be good enough as a basis - there
are
warnings not to use small component leads. #22 wire might be a bit
small for
20A?
