[Elecraft] Strange behavior K2/ 100

I am new to using a K2/ 100 .
My K2/100 is driving an old Alpha amp to approximately
1000w output !  Call this the K2/ 1000 !

I am operating CW, when every once in awhile
I hear a brief change in tone , with a long DAH
and the "LOW BATTERY"  alarm appears on the
LED.  There  is NO battery , just a 13.5 vdc power supply !

I suspect this is RF getting into the radio???

All gear in Grounded - perhaps need to do better ground
job here?   -  Or place a toroid on the Power Cord going to the
K2/ 100 ?

Any insights here much appreciated?
