... After a while I put the rubber ring from it on my stock K2 knob and
I am quite happy with it.  The K2 knob is larger and heavier; and I find
that it's easy to spin the knob with one finger on the rim. Vic K2VCO

To restate a suggestion made a year or so ago, someone put one of those
wide rubber bands one finds holding Broccoli together at the green
grocer's around a K2 knob for a nice, soft feel. They work great.

Then there are those who use POWER tools like Lou, W7DZN, who turned
down the corner of his K2 knob on his lathe to provide a nice, smooth,
finger caressing edge without the sharp corner on it. 

I know that there are some who will keep their K2's in "museum quality"
original condition, just as they originally went together, but for most
of us who are inclined to own a soldering iron for something other than
installing an odd coax connector, building a rig is a never-ending
process. Even a kit.
