[Elecraft] KPA100 - Reflected Power - Output Limiter

Hi All,

I'm busy building a K2 - about 80% complete at the moment.

I also have a KPA100 ready to build.

I heard the following today:

"...someone at WRTC was trying to use a K2+KPA100 in the contest but could
only get 50W out due to the high reflected power limiting circuitry.  This
limiter is activated when the SWR is greater than 1.2:1..."

Is there any truth in this statement?  1.2:1 sounds a bit low to be limiting
the power output.

At home, I have single band antennas with SWRs ranging from 1 to 1.6:1.

None of my other solid state equipment has a problem with these levels of
reflected power.

Any info please?  Is the 1.2:1 figure easily configurable?
