Further to my earlier post: As a 'last resort' I removed U1 (RF board) &
re-seated it, then went back into the VCO alignment & all the VCO voltage
readings now appear reasonable (lowest reading 2.0v at 3500kHz and highest
5.6v at 4000kHz, with other bands falling somewhere between these figures).
Further adjustment of L30 gives no further increase, so will leave it there
& go on to Part 3!
The VCO test, with the probe at TP1, now gives me 8913kHz, instead of the
previous 0000.
