Tom, thank you for setting a wonderful example!

<soapbox>
Many times, people feel the need to share a file with other
people. Sadly, the common practice has become to blindly attach the file
to an email to the person (people) you want to share the file with.

While you may have the best of intentions, I feel that this is not the
best, or most curtious mathod of sharing the file in question. Believe it
or not, there are many folks who are still using dialup connections to the
internet. With a file attachment to an email, they have no choice but to
download the file you attached.

If you simply post the file to your website (most all ISPs provide web
space for their customers personal pages and there are many, many free
services that you can take advantage of as well) and email a simple link
to the file, the person (people) you are sharing your file with still are
able to get the file but now, they can do so on their own schedule, when
it is convenient to them.

Sorry folks. I run an NSP and I can't count the number of times that
someone has had problems because their "friend" sent them some very
"cute" 5Mb program as an email attachment instead of simply sending them a
link to where they could download it themself if they really wanted it.

Put another way, if you tried some new butterscotch, mocha almond,
pepermint icecream combo that you thought your friend might enjoy, would
you tell them where the store was or would you buy a half gallon of it,
drive over to their house in the middle of the night and stuff it down
their unexpecting throat?

Think before you attach and again, Thanks for setting a good example Tom!
