After completing K2 #2650 about a month after Dayton,
I thought that my headphone volume was lower than I=20
might have liked ... and, after reading this same comment
from others on this reflector, I thought this just was the way
the K2 was ...

Not anymore! Several of us in NOGA (North Georgia QRP
Club) got together and purchased the LABTEC ICON 750
headset ... what a difference these headphones make! Now
I can just barely turn the audio control off its full CCW position
with these 'phones plugged in ... my other headset wasn't
quite loud enough for me with the audio control at 12 o'clock ...

Only negative I've seen on them is that the ear muffs tend
to run a bit small for us old guys (Ears never stop growing!)

If you think your headphone volume is too low, it could just
be the headset(s) you've tried with your K2 ... you might
try the Labtec Icon 750 and see if this doesn't "cure" your
low audio problem ... a "Google Search" will turn-up lots of
sources ...

Driver 40 mm
Impedance 32 ohms
Sensitivity 102 db/mW
Frequency 20-20,000 Hz (for <$10, you can waste 17,000 Hz!)
Magnet Neodymium (wasn't he in The Matrix?)
Cord Length 4 feet
Plug 3.5 mm stereo gold-plated (1/4" adapter included)

W4JHR got us a volume discount ... under $9.00 delivered ... Our=20
"Special Edition" included a tiny FM receiver that runs on 2 x AA's ...
