I never realized how good the KAT2 and KAT1 were until this weekend. I use a 100' zepp, fed with twinlead, supported by a DK9SQ mast as my favorite portable antenna. 
The KAT2 tunes  (through a 4:1 balun) to at least 1.3:1 on all bands 80-10. The KAT1 in the K2 tunes it on 40-15, no problem.

This weekend I was operating QRO from the Lighthouse with my old Triton 4, and using an SGC-237 tuner with the same antenna. I couldn't get a match at all on 40, and 
crummy on 15. Matched it OK on 20M. Didn't try 80. Had to break out the old manual tuner to operate on 40.
