[Elecraft] K2 - too high current drain

Hello all:

I am at the point in the K2 construction where one measures the current
drain at 5 watts by placing the rig in tune mode to a dummy load.  I am
measuring approx. 2.4 amps.  The supply voltage measured at the K2 is 13.2
volts. The troubleshooting guide is not too clear about this - what do I do
to troubleshoot this ?  BTW, the next step is to do the same at 10 watts - I
get the HI CUR message.

Help please.
