Hi Steve,

The function of the K1 attenuator pop mod is to eliminate the loud pop that his heard when the ATTN is switched on or
off and will have no effect on the audio in either case.

In several K1s I heard their was an excruciatingly loud pop in the headphones when switching the ATTN in or out.
Installing the inductor across the attn relay totally eliminated the pop.

Using the ATTN helps reduce AGC pops on big sigs.
