Here in the UK, the "PCB Header" connectors are cheaply available from
Maplin. Part number BX96E at 49p including vat.

I assume they are also easily obtained in the USA. So making a complete
spare lead is a simple matter of using a length of screened twin, jack plug
and some heatshrink tube.
