[Elecraft] KNB2 - How can I tell if it is working?

The last option I put in K2 #2548 was the KNB2. It comes up ok, and I can 
activate with the NB and LEVEL buttons just fine.

However, I'm not convinced it is doing anything. Or, if it is doing 
anything correctly.

About the only time I notice a change is on certain bands if I pick LO 
THR, I'll actually have the K2 GENERATING about S4 noise until I turn the 
NB off.

Is there something I can measure with a meter or a scope to assume me the 
KNB2 is doing it's job?
