For those of you who might be interested in trying to work the K2 at our 
Earth Day Special Event station, K0C, please read my comments to Chuck 
Bland, below.

We should be on the air no later than 1500Z on Friday morning (10 A.M. 
CDST), April 19.

I'll be using my K2 (S/N 00008) into a 70' wire with a 30' counterpoise. 
Most of the wire will be about 20'-30' off the ground, but dunno which 
direction it'll be pointing... as if that'd make much difference.

I intend to haunt the CW QRP frequencies on 10M, 15M, and 20M. I will 
probably start out on 10M or 15M, depending upon propagation, but will go 
wherever I can make the most contacts. As indicated, I will be signing K0C, 
and with any luck, I will have a couple other K2 owners to help share the 
operating times.

I have a dental appointment at 1800Z, so I'll have to QRT by about 1730Z.

There is a good chance that K0C will be active throughout the weekend, but 
probably mostly on SSB, and almost assuredly not on QRP... there are only a 
few of us in town... <G>.

If you work me or one of the other K2 ops at K0C, you do NOT need to send a 
QSL or an SASE. However, if you will send me an e-mail to confirm the QSO, 
I will make sure you receive a QSL certificate for the contact.

QSLs should go out by the following weekend, BUT I will be a bit busy 
hurrying to get the K2/100 completed in time for all the other FTs to get 
theirs, so please give me a bit of slack if I happen to slip in my QSL 
schedule.
