[Elecraft] Internal Battery Charging question

I've tried to read all of the posts=
 and articles on charging and maintaining the K2's internal=
 battery but I am still uncertain/confused as to whether I have=
 what is needed to properly care for the battery. 

 
I use a=
 Samlex SEC 1223 regulated DC power supply which has an output=
 voltage of 13.8 VDC and an output current of 23 Amps=
 continuous/25 Amps maximum.

 
Will this=
 power supply adequately charge and maintain my K2's battery?=
 

 
When=
 using the power supply should I disable the internal=
 battery?
