I have now set the middle rate position to 20Hz steps from the secondary menu.  I
find this is ideal for normal CW use, and is far easier to tune around than in the
10Hz step position which is far too slow, and the default 50Hz steps is far too big.
Of course the bottom digit is no longer displayed which is a slight though not too
serious problem. Obviously displaying this bottom digit would help, but as you say
you would need some other means of indicating which rate you are on.
