Thanks for the info Phil ... I must be a bit dense. I looked at the
Web site and read that it was a replacement cover but the picture
doesn't have a cover anywhere in sight! I'll assume that it is BYOB
(bring your own batteries).

It should be described at the web site.  It is a replacement
quick-remove top for the K1 with battery holder (8 AAs) and a speaker.
 It does take a bit of construction.  It lets you put the AAs inside
the K1.
