[Elecraft] PSK31 interface?

Talking of different ways of interfacing for PSK31. The link below (from
WA8IMF) does it without connecting PTT from the computer, but derives it
from the audio out signal, see

It is a VOX-like circuit I would guess, does anyone have any experience
with this setup?
